ANG3 beat COM3 on a games countback. Great match from Jonathan who managed a comeback to win 3-2 despite clear evidence that the large lunchtime steak actually hadn’t helped his ballet steps around the court. Eric only just lost his match and has assured me it had nothing to do with his 45 minute warm up before the match or the brief 20 minutes on the treadmill before that! Aernout lost 3-1 in a duel of the experienced gents and Wayne had a relatively easy match against Guy’s )who’s fags just didn’t provide the kick start he needed).

Squash lessons
A reminder to book your lessons with Nathan at Top Squash. Please remember he is away most of the month of December. The good news is he will be available after the holidays and more than willing to help you do something about your squash and fitness.
Monday night training
With the first matches over I believe there is clearly room for additional training. Courts have been booked at Top squash from 6:40 on Monday 20th Oct so look forward to seeing you then.
Please remember Nathan has a busy schedule between now and late November so book your lessons with him as soon as possible. He is away for most of December as well!
Monday 13th Oct
Courts have been booked from 6:40 on Monday night. This is the last Monday before our first league matches so please come along and take advantage of the training. Keith & Richard will send out details of the teams for Wednesday 15th Oct fairly soon. If you have not already provided your availability details please send these to Keith or Richard.
The training sessions will continue on Monday nights until the corporate league fills up the courts later in the year.
Wednesday squash
Looks like the Angel’s have finally put the golf clubs away and dusted off the squash raquets. Last nights training session was attended by 11 players!
For those keen to continue the good work Wednesday night is a must. The evening is likely to focus more on playing games rather than technical practise (or both if you want). Players will be at Top Squash from 6:30. Please try and book courts on arrival (or before) as these are being booked up early by other clubs and players keen to get themselves ready.
For those not able to make Wednesday, we have organised another training evening next Monday arount 7pm.
Don’t forget to book your lessons with Nathan.
Monday night training
We have now arranged with Nathan to provide all of us with 3 individual squash lessons. Please arrange your lessons directly with Nathan. These have to be taken by the end of February 2004. This seems a long way off, but in reality time will pass by very quickly with everything else that goes on in our lives.
Last night we had a good session however it was not very well attended. Remember it is your club and your game we are trying to improve so try to make it next Monday.
No doubt there will be a number of us at Top Squash this Wednesday, so come along.
