ANG3 v. COM3

ANG3 beat COM3 on a games countback. Great match from Jonathan who managed a comeback to win 3-2 despite clear evidence that the large lunchtime steak actually hadn’t helped his ballet steps around the court. Eric only just lost his match and has assured me it had nothing to do with his 45 minute warm up before the match or the brief 20 minutes on the treadmill before that! Aernout lost 3-1 in a duel of the experienced gents and Wayne had a relatively easy match against Guy’s )who’s fags just didn’t provide the kick start he needed).

Bastogne 2-Angels 2

Easy win 4-0 against Bastogne with every one playing well. We went to eat at Leo’s in Bastogne, which is highly recommended. Good food and a nice ambiance.

results file

a mixed bag, with ANG1 losing (but some very tight matches) and ANG2 winning (again with a few close fought games). Only ANG1 will play this week (28th Jan) and they are up against Sandweiler. So for all those not playing, it is another good opportunity to get a lesson with Nathan before we reach our deadline.

Results Com 3 v Ang 3

the last match for Ang3 before the playoffs was, unfortunately, not so successful:

Tony lost 0-3
Aernout lost 0-3
John lost 1-3
no player at 4 so lost 0-3

Final score 0-4 (1-12)

ANG3 finish 4th in Division 2 and will therefore play in the 2/3 Division playoffs with the top 2 teams of Division 3.

Hi

Attached are the full results from last week. ANG3 play their last match, before starting the playoffs, vs Com3 on Monday. Despite being down to 3 players again, let’s hope they can finish off with a win. Next week sees ANG1 and ANG2 playing EIB1 and 2 respectively. Proposed teams will be posted soon.

Hi,

Here are the detailed results from the final matches of 2003. Things picked up a bit with the 1st team winning
and the 2nds losing by just 4 points! Unfortunately the 3rd team suffered again due to the lack of available
players. Anyway, we had a good meal and a few beers afterwards so we went home with a smile!!
Next matches are on Jan 7th so we have a few weeks to look after all those knocks and bruises in order to
start 2004 in fighting form!

To all the Angels and their families, have a great Christmas and a happy New Year!!!
